Chicken and Egg Cat Treats
This is an easy at-home recipe for your cat that can easily be turned into an organic treat.
- Greased cookie sheet
- ½ cup whole wheat flower
- ½ cup non-fat, powdered milk
- ½ cup cooked and chopped chicken
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tablespoon chopped, fresh catnip (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Combine the four, milk, and chicken in a large bowl and mash and mix them together. Add the water, oil, beaten egg and catnip (if using). Stir well until a sticky dough forms. Form dough into small, dime-sized balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten into discs (can adjust size of treats based on your cats size and needs). Bake for 10 minutes. Removed from oven and flip, then back for additional 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container or bag.
