Brittany - Receptionist
Brittany has lived in Oregon all her life. She grew up in the country with her mother who owns William's Knoll Farm and breeds Cleveland Bay horses. Growing up she frequently helped her mother around the farm and has constantly had numerous pets; horses, cows, cats, dogs, ferrets, birds, snakes, rodents and even a skunk at one point! It's her love for animals of all kinds that led her to seek a job with us. Currently she has two pets, a cat named Sally and a ball python named Damien, both of whom she absolutely adores! Her favorite pastime is reading, loving both fiction and non-fiction books, however she also enjoys hiking, camping, playing the piano, riding 4 wheelers and spending time with her family. Her favorite areas of study are European history, literature, and biology, in particular mycology and serpentology. She hopes to one day be a high school teacher and is currently attending Portland Community College to obtain a transfer degree in the liberal arts.
Lorna - Certified Veterinary Technician
Hello my name is Lorna Roehm and I have been a veterinarian assistant for over 13 years. I am a 1994 graduate from Country Christian High School. I attended Mt. Hood Community College in 1997 for a veterinarian assistant review course as well as completed and received my radiation course and certification in 1998. For 13 years I worked at a large and small animal clinic. I've enjoyed the variety very much and occasionally would get to experience working with some pocket pets as well. For the last 2 years I have spent a great amount of my spare time studying to become a certified veterinarian technician and I am proud to say that on August 3, 2010 I challenged the state boards certification exam and passed. I am now looking forward to working as a certified veterinarian technician in a new practice and meeting new people and patients at Meridian Park Veterinarian Hospital. I not only love to work with animals I also enjoy owning them as well. Currently my husband, daughter and I own three goats, two cows, two farm dogs, three house cats, and a number of chickens, and yes at times I think I am crazy. I enjoy almost every minute of owning all of them though . . . I would be lying if I said I enjoyed every minute, because it is not very enjoyable to chase around escaped goats, cows, and chickens. And who says animals are not smart? It takes a lot of brains to find the smallest whole in the fence and escape, I guess they think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. The dogs and cats like to differ with them though and are content to stay on their own side. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. Which at times includes showing goats with my daughter, camping, fishing and riding quads with my husband and daughter. Also I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and gardening.
