Your pet’s dental health is just as important to his or her overall health as your dental health is to your general health. Would you let years go by between visits to the dentist? Imagine living with half a dozen toothaches from broken or rotting teeth, exposed nerves, or sores in your mouth. You can liberate your pet from pain! To help us and owners understand the importance of proper dental care throughout pets’ lives, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has developed the AAHA Dental Care Guidelines for Dogs and Cats.

We utilize radiographs for the early detection of silent disease processes which may be affecting your pet. Radiographs are also utilized to diagnose bone fractures, osteoarthritis, and various other medical conditions. Our skilled staff can tell you what radiographic imaging is best for your pet.
Sometimes it is necessary to go the extra mile to locate the source of your pet’s illness. An ultrasound (utilizing waves to provide real-time images of your pet’s organs) is a common procedure in human medicine with many applications in veterinary medicine. Ultrasound-guided fine needle biopsies (the extraction of tissue for testing) are sometimes performed by board certified radiologists at our office to provide a definitive diagnosis of your pet’s condition.
Skin conditions can be frustrating for both you and your pet. The scratching, itching, biting, and licking would drive anyone crazy! Our goal at Meridian Park Veterinary Hospital is to make a specific diagnosis and set forth a treatment plan that is both cost-effective and in the best interest of your pet’s long-term health and comfort. If you think your pet could be suffering from a dermatological condition, call our office to schedule a comprehensive consultation.
The number one cause of pet death is GETTING LOST!
10 million pets in the US get lost every year. 90% of those pets will never return home.
We proudly feature the new HomeAgain microchipping system which is designed to increase the chance or reuniting you with your lost pet. The identification system requires a single, relatively painless injection of a microchip about the size of a grain of rice under your pet’s skin. The newest 134.2 Hz, 15 digit chip is the standard recognized in the United States and around the world.
Over 94% of pets microchipped with HomeAgain are reunited with their families.
